WASHINGTON, DC

A new parent-run Autism Play Group available to families
through
District of Columbia Autism Society of America
Young Child Initiative (DCASA-YCI) in Washington, DC.
The
group meets on a monthly basis out in the community. The group
decides upon events, and the activities consist of field trips
and/or recreational activities in community locations.

The Autism Play-Group's main objective is to promote
community inclusion for individuals with a diagnosis of Autism
and their parents. The parent is the primary caregiver during
these events.

To be eligible to join the group, the family must be members of
