Just gather 3 or 4 participants of approximately the same age and ability, and we’ll create a class for you. 6 lessons, 30-minute sessions Cost: $65M/ $80NM (per swimmer) Semi-Private Lessons Semi-private lessons are for two people of approximately the same age and skill level. 5 lessons, 30-minute sessions Cost: $80M/ $95NM (per swimmer) Adapted Aquatics The Aquatics Department continues its Adapted Aquatics swim program for persons with disabilities. Lessons teach participants to swim, feel safe and comfortable in the water, and have an enjoyable experience. Each half-hour lesson is designed to be a successful experience in a positive environment. helping those who need assistance transitioning from a one on one fully accessible clinical environment to full participation in an often inaccessible group community setting including addressing possible physical, cognitive, social and emotional barriers. A physician’s prescription is required and a formalized assessment and treatment plan is conducted according to the client and family goals. Community Inclusion Service: Our Community Inclusion staff work one on one to build specific skills and confidence in a chosen area of interest in a safe, comfortable setting. LCTS, Inc therapists then provide the necessary support 1:1 during the transition into a community setting. Aquatic Therapy Service: We offer Aquatic Therapy in both the home and community settings, going where the client is most comfortable and working towards independence and the ability to continue a healthy lifestyle choice. Also these are current programs we offer: (New in 2011!) Aquatic BackHab: The BackHab program focuses on relearning functional movement patterns with carryover to activities of daily living. Progressions are included to further challenge qualities such as balance, coordination, endurance, trunk stability and gait. The program has proven to be ideal for clients with chronic pain, with shoulder, hip, knee, ankle and back disorders, and with chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, MS, arthritis, asthma, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and older adults and those recovering from strokes. Community-Based Social Skills Group: A Recreation Therapist and a Speech Language Pathologist coach appropriate social skills in a variety of community settings and assist caregivers in fostering independence. Aquatic Sensory Integration Group: A Recreation Therapist and an Occupational Therapist provide gradual, flexible assistance in skill development in a community setting for those with sensory processing/integration issues. Rehabilitative Fitness Plans: This service is geared to those in need of assistance and guidance in beginning a healthy, safe, and active lifestyle. Our goal is to address and prevent health problems. |
