She maintained a teaching position at Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia-Presbyterian School of Medicine while practicing Pediatrics in her hometown in Connecticut. After a family relocation to Washington, D.C. Dr. Shanahan was an Attending Pediatrician in the Department of Ambulatory Pediatrics at Children's Hospital before joining Spring Valley Pediatrics. Dr Shanahan is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington School of Medicine and Georgetown School of Medicine. Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Shanahan has been included in The Washingtonian's Top Doctors and Consumer Research Council's America's Top Pediatricians. Dr. Shanahan's special interests are Behavioral and Development Pediatrics, including ADHD, and Adolescent Medicine. |
