    Dr. Belsito received her undergraduate degree
    from The College of the Holy Cross then
    attended both The University of Connecticut
    Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine,
    receiving her D.M.D. in 1994 and her M.D. in
    1996.   Following this, she spent a year at The
    Center for Autism and Related Disorders at
    The Kennedy Krieger Institute (Baltimore),
    where she directed a clinical research trial for
    children with autism.  Dr. Belsito received her
    pediatric training at Duke University Medical
    Center, followed by subspecialty pediatric
    training in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at
    Johns Hopkins University and The Kennedy
    Krieger Institute, completing her training in
    2003.  She worked from 2003-2007 at The
    University of Florida Hospitals, where she was
    a faculty member in the department of
    Pediatrics and the division of Developmental
    Pediatrics. While in Florida, she served as the
    medical director for the Early Intervention
    Program (Early Steps) of Northeast Florida,
    and as the medical director for the Florida
    School for the Deaf and Blind, a residential
    school for children with visual and hearing
    impairments in St. Augustine.

    Dr. Belsito returned to Johns Hopkins
    University and The Kennedy Krieger Institute
    in 2008 and is currently an associate medical
    staff member at the institute.  She is certified
    by the American Board of Pediatrics in both
    General Pediatrics and Neurodevelopmental
    Disabilities, a subspecialty that is also jointly
    recognized by the American Board of
    Psychiatry and Neurology.   She is experienced
    in identifying, assessing, and treating children
    with developmental and behavioral disorders,
    including ADHD, language and motor delays,
    genetic disorders, and autism.

    Dr. Compart is a developmental pediatrician
    who treats children with a variety of
    behavioral and developmental disorders.  She
    has a special interest in treating children with
    autism spectrum disorders.  She performs
    comprehensive assessments and provides
    ongoing treatment, combining both traditional
    and complementary medicine approaches in
    treating these disorders.
