    lending library, newsletter and workshops for
    parents of children with disabilities.

    Special Education Parent Resource Center (PRC)
    will be offering monthly Saturday morning hours.

    The ASIS group has Topical Meeting
    Presentations the second Thursday of every
    other EVEN month @ 7-9pm at the Langston
    Brown Community Center, room 108.

    Social Get Togethers the second Tuesday of
    every other ODD month @ 9:30-11:30am.  
    Location is Cherrydale Baptist Church, corner of
    Lorcom and Military Road, just up the road from
    Lee Highway. No need to RSVP. We meet in the
    Besley Room, which is close to the elevator on the
    2nd floor.

    *Cherrydale Baptist Church is located at the
    corner of Lorcom Lane and Military Road in
    Arlington, two blocks off Lee Highway. The
    Community Room is on the lower level and has
    elevator access. Signs will point you there!

    ADHD Monthly Parent Support Network
    Wednesdays: 7:00pm to 8:00pm at the
    Washington-Lee High School Library 1301

    MONA Special Moms Support Group
    Meets on the first Friday morning of every
    month, usually at 9am (at Northside Social, 3211
    Wilson Blvd. in Clarendon -- usually on the 2nd
    floor and in a back room if we can snag one.

    There's plenty of pay parking in a lot behind the
    coffee shop and it's also 1 block from the
    Clarendon metro.

    NAMI - the National Alliance on Mental
    Illness, that may be quite helpful to our parents .
    NAMI Northern Virginia offers support groups
    for families impacted by mental illness (children,
    teens and young adults) This group is run by
    family members for family members. Here is the

    Parent2Parent Support Group for Parents
    and Young Children with Special Needs in
    Arlington, VA

    Date: Third Thursday of each month
    Time:  7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
    (families w/ children under 6, discussion topics)
    Location: Calvary Methodist Church; 23rd. St.,
    (corner of South Grant St.) Crystal City, VA
    (closest to the parking lot). Follow the signs up
    and head up the stairs. There is plenty of
    parking and it’s easy to find. We meet at the
    Calvary Methodist Church which kindly donates
    this space for our discussions.
    Description: Informal, drop-in support groups.
    New parents are especially encouraged to join us-
    we welcome you!

    POAC-NoVA's Information and Support
    Group Meeting
    Date: 3rd Saturday of each month
    Time: 1PM to 4:30PM
    Location: at the JCCNV. Directions: From the
    Capital Beltway (495), take exit 52A, Route 236
    heading West (Little River Turnpike). The
    JCCNV is located on the right-hand side, 1.5
    miles west on Little River Turnpike, at the
    intersection of Guinea Road.
